Vince Brown, Chief Petty Officer USNR-RTAR (Ret.), is on a mission to revitalize Maine. With a focus on making homeownership achievable for all Mainers, reducing the tax burden, and empowering parents in their children's education, Vince is the candidate to bring positive change to District 49. Join us in supporting Vince Brown for a brighter future for Maine.
Make Maine Grow, Make Maine Lead
Good paying jobs are vital for Mainers to live and prosper.
The current economic and regulatory environment in Maine makes it difficult for businesses to provide these jobs, with no incentives for businesses and entrepreneurs to stay in Maine.
Vince will work to revitalize the job market in Maine and create more opportunities for Mainers.
Maine has the 9th highest taxes in the United States, with nothing to show for it.
The education system, infrastructure quality, and poverty levels in the state have all been worsening for decades.
Vince will work with the rest of the legislature to reform Maine's tax policies, and reduce taxes for all Mainers, enabling growth, and establishing Maine as a leader for the nation in how a state should be run.
Maine is in the bottom 10 of the country in education, setting the children of Maine up for failure. In order to make Make Maine Grow, and build the next generation of Leaders, an overhaul of Maine's education system is required.
Vince will build a collation around providing Maine Parents choices for their children's education, so they can choose what path works best for them, and their family.
About Vince
Vince Brown is a Maine State native, born and Raised in "The County". He began work at age six, earned a degree and joined the Navy there. He retained his residency and paid Maine taxes though he lived in other states the first half of his Naval Career.
At first opportunity he moved to Bath, to serve at Brunswick Naval Air Station, and has lived in Sagadahoc since. During his distinguished career, he earned command 'Sailor of the Year' twice among other awards, medals and designations. After being a civilian for eighteen years, like many concerned voters, Vince is discouraged by the trajectory elected officials and policy makers are directing our State. Once again answering the call to both lead and serve, Vince is running as a candidate for the Maine State Legislature to represent District 49. His mission, this time, is to sustainably bring the State back in line with the values of his fellow citizens, conforming to the ideals of both the Federal and Maine State Constitution.
Vince has resided in West Bath with his wife, Kim, since 2008. His mother, one of his three siblings, two of his four children, and four of his six grandchildren also live in Maine.
